An integral part of a traditional Gujarati or Maharashtrian thali, this indeginous fermented semisolid milk delicacy is hand-tailored at our dairy to impart a uniformly consistent end product. With a sweetish sour taste, this whole milk product is prepared from probiotically fermented curd that is partially strained through a cloth to remove the whey, producing a solid mass called “chakka”. Obtained chakka is mixed with the right amounts of sugar and cardamom whilst being garnished with “mera” (badam / pista) to create a sweet orchestration of diverse flavours. Not only does this serve as a simple delicacy but also holds immense nutritional value, value majorly being rich in calcium.
